Who’s sidequesttherapy, TikTok person slammed for ‘trauma dump’ comment?

TikTok User Sidequest Therapy has come under fire for calling a session with one of its clients a “trauma dump”, thereby upsetting social media users.

The Tiktoker seems to be a therapist who offers to advise clients virtually.

However, she is badly beaten up for speaking inappropriately about one of her clients. Many have wondered why she chose this profession when she is unable to cope with what a person with mental health problems has to share.

Slammed TikTok users for “trauma dump” comment

In one of her videos, sidequesttherapy talked about her client’s “trauma dumping” in her first session. She captioned it: “No more happened on my watch”.

For the inexperienced, “trauma dumping” refers to venting someone “unsolicited, unprepared”. It is when a person “drains” their feelings on someone who is an “unsuspecting person,” be it a close friend or a stranger.

This trait is considered “toxic” and it is unacceptable for a therapist to possess as it could affect the recipient. Sidequesttherapy, as social media users have pointed out, is a therapist who should never say such things about her clients.

The fact that she humiliated the patient for sharing her problems made many angry.

Who is Side Quest Therapy?

TikToker sidequestherapy calls itself a “Snarky Coffee Loving Therapist”.

While TikTok and Twitter users shared multiple screenshots of her videos, she appears to have deactivated her original account following the backlash she received for her “trauma dump” comment.

The checking account under the same handle consists of 21 followers without bio. Her real name is also unknown as social media users refer to her with her TikTok handle.

Twitter users slam the virtual therapist

Side Quest Therapy went viral for all the wrong reasons, as Twitter users called her for unprofessionally exposing her customers’ problems.

One angry Twitter user wrote: “The audacity to use that term when you are a literal therapist ……”

“Also add,” The person I had to ask for my insurance / The person I am paying cash out of my own pocket to see openly mocks me. “Bad enough, it’s the therapist, worse When you add that it’s you you are essentially paying them to humiliate you without actually saying it’s you, ”tweeted another.
