Viral TikTok touches the hearts of thousands and thousands

Clint and his service dog Lucas were sitting at a Waco Chick-Fil-a with a sign that read “WAR VETERAN – everything helps”.

For years Daniel Merry drove past Clint and never thought about it until one morning he decided to have Clint’s breakfast at the earliest, or so he thought. Instead of giving Clint a hot meal, Daniel accidentally gave him a whole bag of sauce instead.

“The first TikTok I posted like this was just that I said, of course you know I’m trying to do something nice, and I’m even screwing it up. The original intention was to make people laugh and to remind them that neither of us are perfect. ” Said TikToker, Daniel Merry.

When Daniel realized what had happened, he knew he had to go back and do it right. He knew that an apology and Chick-Fil-A wouldn’t be enough. So he researched what items could help Clint the most.

When Daniel tried to apologize, Clint told him it was okay because he wasn’t worried about his next meal or even if he had a permanent roof over his head. What he really wanted was a picture with his dog in case something happened to him.

When Daniel posted all of this on TikTok, he got millions of views and hundreds of people started reaching out to know how they could help Clint.

“Originally, when I sat down with Clint, I was just honestly asking him. I was like a man I don’t want to get into numbers, but if you had to come up with one, what do you think it would take to keep you from Get the list? Street and start your business? One of his life goals was to open a flag business. And so he only gave me the number 5,000 so I just knew I had so much more to do. “Daniel said.

The original goal of $ 5,000 has been met, and now Daniel’s new goal is to raise enough money to permanently get Clint off the streets, meet his daily needs, and help him start the flag business he is from dreams for years.

“His story is touching and at this point he will never have to sit on that curb again.” Said Daniel.

What started as an accident brought two strangers together and changed them both forever.

“Every time I’m with him, he says one thing that rips my heart out and makes me in awe of him. The other day he said to me, my home is your home now and he stopped and looked and it was him like I’ve never been able to say that. “Daniel said
