Viral TikTok displaying a canine climb by means of a Starbucks window sparks debate
This dog just wanted his coffee.
Earlier this week, TikTok user @dollface_danapace posted a video of a dog hopping into a Starbucks drive-through window. The video appears to have been taken from the car behind the dog’s car in the drive-through line.
The clip begins with the dog already standing with its front paws on the drive-through window sill, but its rear paws are still in its owner’s car.

To the sound of giggles and “awws” from onlookers, the dog steps forward and finally brings its hind paws onto the ledge to get completely into the Starbucks – with the help of the drive-thru cash register.
A caption on the video says, “When the Puppocino calls for you … the dog is called BooBoo.”
Since its release earlier this week, the clip has gone viral with more than 5.2 million views.

Many of the commentators made jokes and puns about the dog’s mishap.
“He’s like ‘what’s taking you so long, Cassandra,'” one person wrote in part.
Someone else commented, “He said you guys are all hiring? I’m going to work for free puppaccinos !!”
“The clerk’s giggles as she leads him to the windowsill is everything,” wrote another person.
“Aww, she’s helping him,” said someone else.

However, other commentators were not impressed.
“Why isn’t the owner doing anything?” Asked one person.
Someone else commented, “What’s in the health injury.”
“This is absolutely not okay,” wrote another commenter.

Others were more specific about why they did not appreciate the video.
“It’s so unsanitary,” said one person. “I’m fatally allergic to dogs and any contact like this smh.”
Somebody else cut in, “As cute as that is, please remember that having a dog in the kitchen is a major potential violation of health law.”
“I would get out of hand if I were the car behind this event,” wrote another person. “So unsanitary and inappropriate for any restaurant serving food / drink.”

Commenting on the video, @dollface_danapace joined BooBoo’s defense.
“Starbucks has always been a dog-friendly restaurant,” she wrote. “Booboo wasn’t hurt and just turned back around like the good boy he is.”
Another commenter also defended the dog, saying, “Anyone who says it’s unsanitary has detergents.”
