TikTok Is Opening Supply-Solely Restaurant Ideas Nationwide

TikTok is more than just a video app that lets you kill time and laugh. It can have an amazing impact on the food world too – if you’ve ever tried baked feta noodles or whipped granulated sugar into a beautiful coffee topper, you’ve felt its influence. Next, the social media platform is making it easier than ever to try out the trends. Working with Virtual Dining Concepts, TikTok is opening 300 delivery-only restaurant kitchens in the United States next year, serving the same meals you flick through on your For You page.

Virtual Dining Concepts has experience capitalizing on delivery kitchens with a viral component. The company previously worked with Mariah Carey on Mariah’s Cookies and YouTube star MrBeast on MrBeast Burgers. The latter sold over a million burgers in the first three months!

The TikTok-inspired delivery kitchens follow the same model, offering basic groceries as well as a rotating menu, depending on what’s trending on the app. Imagine the most viral recipes of the year – baked feta noodles, pasta chips, corn on the cob ribs, and nature’s cereal – all delivered right to your door. 1,000 locations are to be opened nationwide by the end of 2022. So we hope to have one in your area soon.

Robert Earl, co-founder of Virtual Dining Concepts, told Bloomberg News that this delivery concept will work in restaurants he owns as well as some Buca di Beppo and Bertucci locations. GrubHub will be TikTok Kitchen’s official delivery partner, so be sure to sign up for the food delivery app if you haven’t already. What to do while waiting for a TikTok kitchen to open near you? Yes, of course, that’s a perfect excuse to scroll through your app’s exploration page.
