The right way to Develop a New Instagram™ Enterprise Account
There is no other place on the Internet where you can get noticed as quickly as on Instagram ™. But with a billion monthly active users, it can feel almost impossible to connect with your ideal customers. That’s why I’m sharing my four best strategies for starting a new Instagram ™ business account on this blog.

First, if you’re looking to create a new Instagram ™ business account, be sure to @mention the person you’re talking to on the comment thread. Depending on the content of the post, a simple emoji is sometimes enough. But when replying to someone, it’s always better to @mention their account. Then they will receive a notification that you have tagged their account.
Also as Newbie, Notifications are one of the things that people can’t resist. In the upper right corner of the platform, users can see how many unread Instagram ™ notifications are waiting for them in Direct Messenger (DM).
Most of us can’t stand to leave these messages unread, your ideal followers probably feel the same way. Give them a reason to check their notifications and interact with your Instagram ™ account.
# 2 How to start a new Instagram ™ business account: ONLY tag your ideal follower in a post if it makes sense and applies to them
Before you @ start mentioning a number of accounts, let’s clear one thing up. The last thing you want is to @mention people to spam. For example, I only mark community members so that they don’t miss any content that is relevant to them. It’s a great way to build on conversations you’ve already had.

# 3 How to set up a new Instagram ™ business account: Start a convo in the Instagram ™ DM
Next let’s talk about the importance of Instagram ™ DM. By now you have probably understood the importance of DM in an effective Instagram ™ strategy. While many people rely on posting and dashing, this strategy could ultimately cost you your chance for meaningful customer relationships. Also with the option to set up Instagram ™ DM quick replies, there is no excuse that it takes too long.
Ultimately, many people feel more comfortable sending messages to companies and brands. Trying to start a new Instagram ™ business account is an easy way to remind people that there is a real person behind your brand.
When people feel like they are talking to a person rather than a brand, they are more likely to reach out to you with questions or inquire about how they are buying your product or service.
# 4 How to start a new Instagram ™ business account: Talk to your current followers
After all, my final strategy for growing your new Business ™ account is to talk to your current followers. For example, I send my followers an Instagram ™ post or a story that I think is relevant to them via the Instagram ™ DM.
Like my former customer Jody Pavey, who owns a knitting shop. Whenever I see something to knit, I send her a DM with something as simple as “I was thinking of you”. It only takes a moment, but these DMs are reminding my current and past clients that I want to keep our connection strong.
Instagram ™ is not intended to be one-way entertainment. And while email can get lost in someone’s inbox, an Instagram ™ DM will grab their attention. But you’re probably thinking, “Sue, what happens after I send someone an Instagram ™ DM?”
I often follow a question like “What is your biggest challenge on Instagram ™ right now?” Or “Can I help you with your business right now?”
Once I get the conversation started, I’ll offer you one of my free resources. Instead of leading with the offer, I wait until I’m sure that my free resource is actually helping them resolve the problem they are having with their business.
Pro Tip: Think of these DMs as conversation starters that can lead to opportunities.
I know it can be daunting to show yourself off when you have a new Instagram ™ business account. Trust me when I started my teenage daughters made fun of me and rolled their eyes. But as soon as you found your voice on the platform and lead with confidence, Your followers will notice.
