There is something inexplicably satisfying about finding an Easter egg or tiny little surprise. Whether in a video game that hides a nod to earlier iterations of a classic franchise, or even in a movie that contains a bit of premonition (like Dr. Grant tying two “female” belt buckles together on a plane in Jurassic Park) doing hidden details Happy people. This could be why so many people are excited about this Google themed TikTok account.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Google has reshaped not only the internet as a whole, but computers, data usage, and technology in general. Every single Google account, for example, offers the undeniably best email experience – complete with lots of free storage, a great photo sharing / saving application, a wonderful online cloud storage system, office suite software, easy video editing, Video hosting (YouTube) and so on and so on.

It would take thousands and thousands of words just to give a brief overview of all of Google’s services, and that doesn’t even include its business solutions and other cool tips and tricks.
And while software like Google “Chat” isn’t really used or known by a lot of users (it’s a free version of Slack that is great), there are more esoteric little Google details that people don’t know about.
And this TikTok is about sharing hidden Google details with everyone on the web. For example, if you type “The One Ring” in a Google search bar, a suggestion pops up asking if you wanted to write “my treasures” instead.

Or, if you search for “blink html”, the word “blink” will also blink on your computer screen in all search results. Or maybe you want to find some free classic games to play in the browser while bored, like the title that made Nokia famous: Snake. Just type it into the search bar and it’s ready for you to get all the nostalgic.

And if you search for “Pluto” there will be a little joke about Pluto’s planetary status being revoked and then restored. “Our favorite dwarf planet since 2006” says the description.

You can also find Easter eggs on other Google services and learn the story behind some of their quirks. Like the fact that Google froze YouTube clips at 301 views until developers could review the video.

Of course, there are the cool search results animations provided for users by Google developers. For example, if you search for “flag of pride” and click the rainbow heart on the image search page, you will feel like you are the millionth customer in a grocery store after experiencing a wonderful celebration filled with confetti.

And if you want to go old-fashioned, type “Google in 1998” into the search bar to discover some other cool hidden details that you wouldn’t otherwise be privy to. Pretty neat, right?
Although it looks extremely dated, there is nothing to be found on the old school Space Jam website.
