<p>Lisa with @FlyingGoatFarm has really grown her understanding of Instagram. She has more than doubled her Instagram following, launching lead magnets, and growing email lists… Lisa’s been busy! And has put in the work. </p>
<p>We are so proud of what she’s accomplished. Her reach is really impressive, but what’s even more fun to watch is the personality in her posts, the valuable content she shares, and the community Lisa is building.</p>
<p>We asked Lisa to share more of where she was before PRO and about her accomplishments since being in the program:</p>
<p>I’ve been in PRO since August 2023, so almost 6 months.  I have gone through most of the lessons at least once, some of them I’ve watched twice. Since that time, I have more than doubled my following on Instagram. I also launched a lead magnet last month and added 66% more subscribers to my email list.  I feel like all of the advice that I have received has led me to make the changes necessary to find my audience. </p>
<p>Lisa shared a little more about the transformations she’s had:</p>
<p>I’ve been in business for a long time, but I was just treading water. It wasn’t growing. I knew that I had to change my mindset and do everything that the program offers.  If I didn’t do that, I would never know if this was money well spent or not.</p>
<p>The biggest transformation that I have had is being focused on who my ideal clients are and what they want from Instagram.  I have honed my message with help from the coaches. I have consistently shown up on Instagram and to my email subscribers.  </p>
<p>My workflow has also changed significantly. I’m following the tips and tricks to be able to have consistent posts, reels and now stories over the last few months. </p>
<p>This consistency has brought me a huge uptick in followers and engagement of those who follow me and those who haven’t followed me yet. </p>
<p>We love that she brought up a mindset shift. It really is the foundation for positive change. Then defining your messaging and being so super clear about it, calling in your right audience.</p>
<p>We asked Lisa what her favorite tip from PRO that she’s learned, and that others could benefit from:</p>
<p>My favorite tip so far is to use batching of your posts.  This way I spend less time per post to compose scripts, descriptions, hooks and CTA’s. I have more freedom knowing that for the next 2-3 weeks, my posts are ready to go.  I can now spend more time on other business projects. </p>
<p>What Lisa would say to someone on the fence about joining PRO:</p>
<p>Pro offers so much content. When you are ready to receive the advice and ready to embrace a different  mindset, you will be able to make big strides in your business.  There is the extensive video library that gives you a good foundation, but it is the weekly office hours with the coaches and the weekly PRO call with Sue that gives so much benefit. </p>
<p>I’ve gained so much confidence in the past 6 months. I don’t worry about being on camera. And I have the support and guidance of my coaches every step along the way.</p>
<p>Highlighting success stories can show someone who’s maybe feeling discouraged or second guessing themselves, that this is possible. No matter your age, your niche, if your selling products, or have a service offering… you can be successful with marketing and growing using Instagram as a tool. </p>

<p>So I’d like to just cut to the chase here. And this might be a harsh truth. BUT, a main mistake we see, that a lot of well-meaning business owners make,  is talking too much about yourself, which causes Reels to miss out on the views they deserve.</p>
<p>It sometimes feels like- to sell our products, our service, our time…. We have to talk about ourselves. And while yes, we should at times, your posts should speak about your ideal buyer to be found by them on Instagram.</p>
<p>There are times to be vulnerable and share things about yourself and your business to better connect with your audience! We aren’t saying to take ALL of that away.</p>
<p>But if your account intends to get sales, you want to call out your viewer. How they identify, What THEIR problems are, and THEIR desires. And how YOU can offer a solution to those problems and desires.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Simple Audit for Your Instagram Account</h2>
<p>We have a quick check for you. </p>
<p>Look through your last 9 posts. Count how many times you use the words, “I, me, my, myself”. Take note if it’s showing up in your hooks, in your descriptions, and in your Reel scripts. </p>
<p>Then count how many times you mention your audience. If there is more “me” than “them”, shift the focus and address your audience’s problems and desires.</p>
<p>Notice how all of our hooks are about our audience, and not about us! <br />“You” and “Your”</p>
<p>Consider the audience perspective – how do they describe what you do? What words do they use to explain their problem? What do they experience when they use or have what you sell? </p>
<p>Instagram’s search tool is more and more powerful, and so your Reels need to use those keywords and be about those topics to be found by your customer. Our viewers needs to remember that expert terms or industry terms may not be used by your customer…so if you use terms that are too technical you could miss out on your people.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Another Big Reason Your Reels Aren’t Being Viewed</h2>
<p>The other reasons your Reels might not be getting the views. Which could have something to do with presentation. Words matter and speaking to your audience’s problems matters. But you also have to present your reel in a way that your audience gets to see what you’re talking about! And a surefire way of doing that is – including a HOOK.</p>
<p>A HOOK is the word at the very beginning of your video, so it’s the first thing people see when they’re scrolling. It determines whether they are stopping to actually watch your video, or if they’re going to keep scrolling. If you’ve been on our youtube channel before, or read any of our blogs, you have probably heard us talk about hooks before. </p>

<p>We’re not trying to sound like a broken record! However, we are trying to make the point that Hooks, keywords, and messaging are so important in growing your business and reaching your ideal audience!</p>
<p>Hooks can use keywords, and they tell the audience exactly what the video is about. Or they allude to solving a problem or answering a question someone might be thinking about. If you need help with hooks, we have lots of training on it. We will link another video on the screen that goes even deeper into hooks.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Simple Update for a Giant Impact</h2>
<p>It can be such a simple update to make a giant impact. For example, instead of saying “This is how I got clients from Instagram” – try, “You CAN get clients from Instagram just by…. ”. Or instead of a Hook that says, “We have this brand new clothing line!” you can reword that and still use the concept but say, “Are you tired of having NOTHING to wear?” See what I did there?</p>
<p>By switching the perspective, you invite your audience in. </p>
<p>The Reels that make your ideal client go, “OH my gosh, you totally GET me!” If you master this strategy your Reels will become saveable and shareable. If they watch a Reel and feel like they understand it to their core, they’ll engage. That’s where you find the major growth.</p>

<p>Sharing in Stories gets your post seen by more people. Instagram stories is such a unique section of the app. Some users prefer to scroll in the feed, and some like to watch full-screen Stories. Since Stories are mostly seen by your current followers, it is an important and simple way to help the posts you work hard to create get seen by as many people as possible. </p>
<p>It’s a great way to inspire viewers to visit your posts. When you share it, it shares both the post and the comment prominently. The post is clickable for a viewer to come to view the full post.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Ideas on How to Use This Feature<br /></h2>

<li>When you receive a positive comment, why not share that comment to your stories? This is an easy way to showcase it and help your closest followers see the good feedback. Showcasing some social proof is a great way to build trust and generate sales.</li>

<li>Another way to use this feature could be presenting a common question you get asked. Maybe you keep getting the same question or inquiry over and over in your comment section. Sharing one of these comments in your story, and then answering that FAQ for everyone at once in the next clip allows you to get the information out there in a simple way. <p>Sharing certain comments to your stories opens up new avenues for connecting with your audience – Stories viewers could click over and see a post they wouldn’t have seen before, or could add their thoughts by replying directly to that story at the bottom of the screen. </p>
<p>Their reply would open a direct message conversation with you. Which is GOLD for a business owner. But let’s talk about that another day.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tutorial – How To Share Comments To Stories</h2>
<p>It’s really so simple! Just swipe left on the comment you want to share, and an option will pop up to share to your stories, it has the plus sign with the circle around it. This will share the post and the comment as a sticker to your Story.</p>
<p>You can then move the comment around, and adjust the size, customizing it however you like!</p>
<p>And remember, this will also make your post on your story clickable, so if they tap it brings the viewer back to the post.</p>
