Swift Present TikTok star will get dream playhouse

SWIFT CURRENT – A magical castle worthy of a princess was created in Swift Current for the seven-year-old Bella Thomson.

She received the gift from Make-A-Wish Saskatchewan after a long health journey.

Bella was born with cartilage-hair hypoplasia, severe combined immunodeficiency, and a condition that made her wait for a bowel transplant.

She spent the first two years of her life in a hospital and had another long visit a few months ago.

“Bella fell ill in late March and developed an infection that caused septic shock and took her to the intensive care unit. She had to be medically moved to Calgary and then to Toronto SickKids where she needed a CBL replacement, ”said Kyla Thomson, Bella’s mother, on Monday. “We spent a month at SickKids in Toronto and while we were there we had something special in the works.”

Bella had set herself the goal of building a castle in her own garden.

“To see their reaction, the day after we came home from a long hospital stay. It was really special to see the hard work she put into design, wishes and watering, and that she surprised all of this when we got home was really special, ”said Kyla.

While life has returned to normal for Bella, she spends her days off outside in her castle.

The Thomsons have started selling goods to offset the cost of their daughter’s medical travel.

“In the meantime, her Calgary team of specialists is testing a new drug for her to help her gut,” said Kyla. “While we wait for the call, I’ll take care of all medical needs at home and live life to the fullest while we can be home and happy.”

Bella first went viral when pop star Halsey discovered Kylas TikTok in January.
