Since its launch on June 22nd, Step & Repeat has reached the devices of millions of TikTok users worldwide, resulting in participation in more than 30 countries. Every week, Step & Repeat host Johnny Wujek (celebrity clients include Katy Perry and Mariah Carey) announces a theme-based challenge, signaling to amateurs and seasoned stylists around the world that it’s time to get creative – and Think outside the box.

“I think it’s great that we can present a global creative platform and movement,” said Wujek.

“It was so much fun seeing people interpret each topic and challenge in their own way. Fashion is about bringing people together to celebrate everything that makes glamor: from clothes to makeup to hair. “

In each round, celebrity jurors Nicole Chavez (celebrity clients include Scarlett Johansson and Kristen Bell), Claire Sulmers (founder of Fashion Bomb Daily) and Andrew Fitzsimmons (celebrity clients include the Kardashians) duo some of the submissions and ultimately determine the winners. Everyone receives a cash award and a one-hour mentoring session with one of nineteen industry leaders.

The story goes on

“This was a fun, new way to connect and communicate with established creatives and the best up-and-coming talent,” said Chavez. “I love to share my experiences and encourage the next generation to make it to the top.”

During the mentoring sessions, the winners will receive 1: 1 coaching on starting a business around makeup, hair, or style – or maybe all three.

“I loved mentoring one of the incredible winners of the Step & Repeat TikTok Challenge,” said Brian Underwood, Beauty & Wellness Director at Oprah Daily. “It was a stimulating experience to hear about her creative journey, the challenges she faced over the past year, and her inspiring plan for the future. And I was so impressed with the content she created.

The participants are not just spectators – they are building their personal business and learning from the experts at Step & Repeat. Stephanie Sprangers, founder and CEO of Glamhive, says this is by design.

“Our vision for this show is to harness the power of entertainment content and combine it with notable talent and user-generated content,” says Sprangers. “It’s about inclusivity and opportunities. The winners have the chance to have a conversation that could be truly life-changing. That is what inspires everyone most. “

The creativity continues in the last week of the competition as the crown of creativity will culminate with the most fascinating challenge yet: rejected Met Gala themes.

“It was remarkable how high the talent was during this process,” said Fitzsimmons. “Social media is a great balance as it allows anyone with a talent and a dream to share their work on a global scale. It was so exciting to see how global influences are reflected in this competition. “

Step & Repeat has already started to grab the attention of TikTok users with over 1.5 million views and has been featured on the UK’s Daily Mail, The Daily Front Row and Vogue Business.

“Being part of this competition was exciting and offers an innovative look at the next great stylists, make-up artists and hairstylists,” said Sulmers. “I enjoyed seeing the diversity of the participants and their skills are second to none.”
