Shania Twain Is ‘In New Music Mode,’ In accordance with Her TikTok
New music from Shania Twain? It might be on the go by watching a clip she shared on her newly created TikTok page on Tuesday (March 9th).
The video shows Twain in the studio listening to music from the control room and dancing with a glass of wine that appears to be on the ledge in front of her.
“In the new music mode” she labeled her post together with the hashtags “#wearehere”, “#letsgogirls” and “#whenwomenwin”.
Twain’s foray into the TikTok world started with a bang this month when she shared an energetic clip of herself dancing to her 1999 hit “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” against the backdrop of a scenic beach. Twain followed up with a TikTok post recognizing the women of country music who inspired them, including Mickey Guyton, Dolly Parton, the Chicks, Taylor Swift and many more.
Twain has previously indicated that she is working hard on new music. In January, she tweeted the same sentiment she had recently shared on TikTok – “In new music mode” – and when Canadian journalist Tom Harrington replied to ask if this meant she was “writing, playing, singing” [or] Listen, “she replied,” all of the above. “
In October 2020, Twain alluded to writing a “mountain of songs” during a virtual appearance on ABC’s Live With Kelly and Ryan during the COVID-19 pandemic. “You know, COVID took so much longer than any of us expected, so I have enough music for three albums now,” she revealed at the time.
In addition to the material she’s working on, Twain has been busy collaborating recently, including appearing on a duet version of Kelsea Ballerini’s single, “Hole in the Bottle.”
