An episcopal nun from Georgia, USA went viral on TikTok after fans demanded to see her skin care routine.

Claudette Powell’s fans are now praising her as the “queen of clear skin” after revealing her beauty secrets on the app, reports Metro UK.

Powell, 55, already had quite a following on social media with her videos of religious life. But fans quickly noticed her fresh and glowing complexion and asked her to reveal her secret.

In the video, Powell shared her surprise that so many people were interested in their everyday lives.

“A bunch of really nice ladies left comments here saying they think I look a lot younger than me,” she said.

“People have been sending me direct messages asking what my skin care routine is, which is hilarious to me because I don’t actually have one.”

It turned out that the key to her youthful complexion is one of the oldest tricks in the book – she can’t go out in the sun.

“I have probably a few fewer wrinkles than some people my age … I haven’t been out in the sun since the late 1990s,” she said.

“I get migraines from the sun … when I go out in the sun I have to wear an umbrella or a parasol.”

As a former photographer, she also found that lighting was crucial.

“Whenever I make these videos, I put them in really good lighting, so that’s why I usually stand here,” said Powell. “And in low light, because low light is a girl’s best friend.”

However, she uses very little in relation to actual beauty products.

“I never use beauty products because I think it’s a rip off. My skin is allergic to almost everything in the world.

“So I wash my face once a day and have to use things like that Aveeno oatmeal shower gel / shampoo that you can get in the baby section of the grocery store for six dollars.”

Summing up her advice to her followers at the end of the clip, she said, “Wear an umbrella, take low-light photos, and use baby items on your skin.”

In the comments, people were amazed to find out their real age.

“Yes, I’m 21 and your skin looks ten times better than mine,” wrote one viewer.

“Definitely seeing a 30-year-old. I’m 25 and my skin looks so much older,” said another.

Meanwhile, some joked that the secret to her ageless skin was the fact that she didn’t have to deal with men in her daily life.

“That’s because she doesn’t constantly grapple with the audacity of men,” commented one.
