It’s no secret that TikTok has become the center of viral content on the internet, and along with tons of new challenges, trends, and songs, the app has also helped bring some of the most iconic faces on the internet to life.
Both Addison Rae and Charli D’Amelio have been climbing the ranks since 2019, and with an astonishing number of followers, they certainly seemed to rule the platform at number one and two on the most-followed list.
But that has changed thanks to an unusual entry on the list – Khaby Lame.

This Italian TikToker has made a name for itself by responding to some of the weirdest and most useless life hacks on the internet and always having the perfect wordless answer to these bizarre videos.
Each of his videos has millions of views, some of them over 100 million, and in May people noticed that his number of followers was growing incredibly quickly too.
Many predicted that he would be able to overtake some of the internet’s biggest stars, and it finally happened in early July when his follower count overtook Addison Rae’s.

At the time of writing, Addison has 81.7 million followers and Khaby has 82.8 million followers, putting him firmly in second place.
But fans don’t think he’ll stop there. As he continues to grow in popularity, some believe he could even overtake Charli D’Amelio, who at 119 million is the only person on the platform with more followers than him.
People certainly seem to be enjoying the top-ranked list upgrade, and it looks like Khaby will continue to grow in popularity a lot.
