CLEARWATER – The TikTok star du Jour is a handcuffed man from Pasco County who was seen escaping from a police SUV in Clearwater and running away on the beach while spring breakers cheer him on.
Oh no, oh no Oh no no no no no
He didn’t get far. Dominic Glass, 18, from Land O ‘Lakes, was taken into custody for the second time on Wednesday night. He was one of four arrests when Clearwater police said more than a dozen officers dealt with an unruly crowd on Clearwater Beach.
There will be a fifth arrest soon: police said they found and arrested the person who opened the SUV door. A TikToker took responsibility for this in another video and wrote, “I opened that door lol.” This person’s name was not released late Thursday.
The original TikTok video of the escaping man with handcuffs had nearly 800,000 likes by Thursday. It was also shared on Instagram.

Clearwater police said the officers were dealing with “disorderly behavior issues” that involved a large crowd when a fight broke out around 6:53 pm. Officials said the young crowd was “non-compliant” and resisted efforts to “de-escalate the situation.” ”
During the separation of the two groups, officials said they took a man into custody and placed him in the rear right of the SUV. As the officers went to the left driver’s side, the TikTok video shows someone pulling the right rear door handle and opening it.
The handcuffed man pauses while dozens of spring breakers chase after him. They laugh and cheer and of course hold up their phones.
Glass was arrested for fleeing, disorderly conduct, and nonviolent resistance to an officer. Clearwater police did not name the other three arrested but said one of them assaulted an officer. The glass deposit was unavailable late Thursday.
