Garrard County sisters to be acknowledged for TikTok work

LANCASTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) is holding a special ceremony at Garrard County High School on Wednesday to recognize two students who helped make the FAF $ A a success for the Future TikTok Challenge.

CPE launched the challenge in March to help raise awareness of the free state student grant application known as the FAFSA form. It gives students access to needs-based help and other forms of financial support for college.

Sisters Kyrin Norris of Garrard County High School and Jaydan Norris of Eastern Kentucky University were among many who posted videos on TikTok to help spread the word.

CPE President Aaron Thompson will gather at the high school in Lancaster, Kentucky with education leaders from across the state to celebrate student efforts and discuss the importance of graduating from FAFSA.
