When the lockdowns caused by COVID-19 arrived, everyone found their own way to pass the time. For Stockton Andre Lindsey, it was TikTok’s attention with his dog. Lindsey made his mark in Sacramento State years as a two-sport athlete in track and field and soccer, leading to a stint with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. When he was fired from the team, he tried other NFL teams, but as 2020 progressed and the world – including the sport – was functionally shut down, Lindsey adopted a teammate and lockdown buddy: a German Shepherd named Milo. “For me he is affectionate. He’s a level 5 follower and follows me everywhere, ”said Lindsey. “He also reminds me of a service dog.” That attachment, which Lindsey likened to the movie Wedding Crashers, would come in handy after a video he made with Milo garnered millions of views. “He was upstairs and I thought I’d record to see what he would do. So I set up a tripod camera and fell and pretended I was hurt, ”Lindsey said. “I covered my face and he started moaning and barking a baby. He kept finding ways to see if I was okay. ”While the TikTok viewers knew it was an act, for Milo it was anything but a game.

“For me he is affectionate. He’s a level 5 follower and follows me everywhere, ”said Lindsey. “It also reminds me of a service dog.”
