Everyone follows this similar formula: boil water; Boil and strain pasta; dry and season with preferred ingredients; namely olive oil, lots of parmesan and preferred spices or herbs; pop it into a 400 degree air fryer and toss it occasionally; and once they’re crispy and golden, serve them with a simple dip or sauce like marinara and enjoy the satisfying, ASMR-inducing crunch.

“I’ve been on TikTok for almost two years and I’ve tried so many trends. This one is perhaps one of the most intriguing because essentially you take something crispy, soften it, and then crisp it up again. And it looks like everyone is in Bite crispy raw noodles. In return, it is actually crispy, airy and absolutely addicting! ” She said.

The Michigan-based “healthy” recipe developer shared the short clip on how to create her version, which received more than 13 million views on TikTok alone. (Psst, you can see her full recipe here.)

The hashtag on the popular social media platform got 38 million views, so here are a few more top videos for checking out other riffs of the crunchy snack.

Nick DiGiovanni, one of the leading and hugely popular TikTok food creators, started the trend with a deep fryer.

“After trying an original version with marinara sauce, I decided to make a version with a whipped feta dip,” he said of the dish with another viral ingredient. “Next up, I’m working on a couple of iterations, including salt and vinegar and buffalo! This is a trend that everyone has to try because it is fun, versatile and absolutely delicious. “
