Abu Dhabi tourism division companions with Tiktok
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) officially announced its partnership with the social media giant TikTok on Tuesday April 27th.
In a statement, the tourism department said that with their newly launched Tiktok channel – Visit Abu Dhabi – they “want to involve content creators to showcase the best of the emirate with creativity and authenticity, to reach a wider audience and viewers around the world to inspire Abu Dhabi to consider as part of their future travel plans. “
With 14 posts at the time of writing, the site already had 34,000 followers and over 166,000 likes.
“This partnership is unique in that it gives viewers the opportunity to experience Abu Dhabi on unique roles created by locals and residents of the emirate, highlighting various elements such as iconic destinations in the capital, our people and culture, as well as ours Exclusivity, offers and more. We look forward to growing our channel on the platform through TikTok’s guidance and creative input, and have no doubt that this opportunity will bring great results, ”said Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Director of Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi.

In regional terms, the followers of TikTok’s top influencers doubled in the past year. The total number of top 10 GCC TikTok personalities rose from 24.6 million at the beginning of 2020 to around 54.6 million by mid-February this year.
