Viral TikTok Captures Mayhem at Waffle Home, Viewers Aren’t Stunned

A recently released TikTok video showing a chaotic battle between an employee and a customer at the Waffle House has gone viral. While viewers enjoyed the drama, they are not at all surprised by the antics.

The TikTok posted on Saturday by @ brookewiser1 has 7.8 million views and 1.5 million likes. Many compare it to the classic “Can I Please Get a Waffle” Vine, which now lives on YouTube and has over a million views.

The popular Vine shows two Waffle House employees physically arguing, one even being hit with his head against a counter, while a customer sits quietly and innocently and asks, “Can I get a waffle? Can I get a waffle, please? ”While the fight is going on in front of them.

In the more recent video filmed in the diner, a TikToker and a friend and another customer eat food and watch a fight between an employee and a plainclothes person who may or may not be a patron.

The non-employee steps high over the counter and throws the worker what appears to be a metal napkin dispenser. Loud cracks and pops can be heard throughout the video, as well as many expletives and threats to call the police.

Another Waffle House employee is briefly seen calling someone on the phone.

Meanwhile, the guests continue to eat their food and watch the “entertainment”.

Viewers comment that “dinner and a show” can always be expected at Waffle House.

“Hash browns taste better watching a fight anyway,” @scruffystraw wrote.

Many also quickly pointed out the lack of action by the TikToker and other diners.

“You are the figurehead of minding your own business,” said @rachaelmichaelis.

“The COURAGE you have to eat your food and watch the show … I would have cried and run away,” commented @danyyydiamond.
