TikTok cancels once-beloved film heartthrob over cringey conduct: ‘Actually so embarassing’

In the spirit of the recent pseudo-rejections from once-loved Matthew Morrison and Lin-Manuel Miranda, there’s a new villain that TikTok users are making fun of: Noah Centineo.

He doesn’t have the same musical energy that Miranda and Morrison have, and neither have any members of the group done anything to really deserve a complete rejection. You just started putting a strain on the nerves of social media users. But why did Centineo fall out of favor?

The male lead in the trilogy “To All the Boys I Loved Before The Movie”, which just released on February 12th, was the heartbreaker of the moment and the “friend of the internet” when the first film came out.

Heralded as a friend of the internet for a few years, he rose to fame and played a number of key roles while his co-star the charming Lana Condor didn’t receive the same reception.

“I still wonder why Lana Condor hasn’t received a major job in Hollywood after wearing the #ToAllTheBoys trilogy on her back with her charm and charisma, while Noah Centineo with BLACK ADAM, HE-MAN, the ‘ GameStop ‘movie that was connected, etc etc etc ”asked a Twitter user.

“We know why,” wrote film writer Rebecca Theodore-Vachon in her now viral response.

“WOC has to work a lot harder than others to achieve the same,” replied a Twitter user and formulated what Rebecca Theodore-Vachon implied in her post.

However, Condor isn’t entirely unsuccessful – it has a number of projects underway. It is certainly not to blame for the internet’s dislike of Centineo, though some say it has the fame it deserves.

The story goes on

For most of 2018, only the name of Centineo’s now iconic character, Peter Kavinsky, was passed out. Now it arouses disgust.

“Do you want to get over her? Think of her as Peter Kavinsky, ”one TikTok user wrote before showing footage of Centineo dancing shamelessly.

“You have always been in love with him, I will never forget,” wrote one commentator.

“He’s literally so embarrassing that I can’t,” said another.

Up until the second film “PS, I still love you”, Kavinsky was the romantic ideal: popular, loving, attentive. Condor’s character, Lara Jean Covey, was head over heels for him – until his popularity at the prom-king level affected the way Kavinsky and others treated her.

At this point, he was getting out of the good hands of the internet and warranting warnings of “intrusive content” on TikTok, just as Miranda and Morrison had done before him.

As mentioned, after his breakthrough, Centineo began looking for more projects, many of which, like Swiped and SPF-18, were rated as “degrading” and “a whole lot of nothing.”

Without his chemistry with Condor – and with all eyes on him – Centineo’s personal life was then scrutinized.

One Twitter user said his “fake, deep f *** boy energy” rubbed her the wrong way. He was also targeted for being “Fake Deep” for his acceptance speech after winning the 2019 People’s Choice Award for Best Comedy Film Star.

“It’s not what you did that matters, it’s what you do with what you’ve done for others,” he said, leaving the audience confused.

“When he opens his mouth, stupid things come out and it’s hard to believe he’s hot afterwards,” wrote a Twitter user.

Writer Kelsey Barnes said she doesn’t hate Centineo, but he reminds her of a “walking meme” whose “bro energy” and “delicate boi energy” are at odds.

A viral clip asking for a sexual favor while walking through a public place has ruined his healthy image as Peter Kavinsky in many of his former fan’s minds.

There were also wild rumors that he ran to Las Vegas and married Stassie Karanikolaou, an influencer best known for her friendship with Kylie Jenner.

Whether you enjoy his job or not, Centineo is here to stay. His IMDb page is stacked with upcoming projects. Just don’t expect TikToker to enjoy them.
