Texans Take to TikTok to Doc Winter Climate (VIDEO)

TikTok users in the Lone Star State showed firsthand the effects of freezing temperatures, including frozen aquariums and burst pipes.

“Yo, check out my daughter’s aquarium! Oh my god, that fish is dead,” said TikTok user @ ray.kay13.

Texans go to TikTok for a firsthand report on the effects of freezing weather and power outages.

“So here we are in the middle of a snowstorm in Texas and our power went out. I started converting my dining room into a barn,” said TikTok user @tinyhoovesrescuetexas.

Some TikTok users have filmed themselves rationing water by dumping it into empty trash cans, including captions like “We need to flush the toilets somehow”.

Others documented trying to keep warm. A TikTok user announced that he burned parts of his fence to keep a fire going.

“We covered the windows as best we could, and then we tarping and we tarped around the fire,” said TikTok user @alissevaughn.

Many users revealed the damage done to their homes by the freezing cold, including burst pipes.

“Mom, this is no time to do a TikTok! I’m not doing a TikTok, I’m just filming what happens!”

Still others tried to find some light and humor in the situation.

“Okay, turn it back, turn it back,” said TikTok user @jesscarpenter.
