Strive to not really feel outdated whereas watching these present TikTok tendencies – Movie Day by day
The TikTok trends of 2021 are bigger and better than last year’s trends – and there were some really fun trends last year! Viral TikTok trends seem to pop up out of nowhere, but this is exactly how TikTok works. Someone is doing something catchy or hysterical and everyone is ready to jump on board to copy. When it comes to TikTok trends, copying other users isn’t the least bit problematic. It’s actually a form of flattery!
What lives rent-free in your head?
It is well known that TikTok trends are relevant to most people, which is why “what lives rent-free in your head?” was such a hit. The question asks about that one thing You can’t stop thinking about it no matter how hard you try. What is the only thing you think about every day?
People answer the question by describing ex relationships, using song lyrics, showing off their favorite foods, or anything they can’t stop thinking about.
Tell me without telling me
The “tell me without actually telling me” is funny because it allows people to get extra creative with their storytelling. An example of this could be: Tell me your pet has separation anxiety without telling me, followed by a video of a cat scratching and scratching at its owner’s closed bedroom door.
Another example could be: tell me you grew up with strict parents without telling me, followed by a screenshot of fifty missed calls and texts from the person’s mother about a missed curfew.
I hate all men. . . but if he “loves” me
The “I hate all men. . . But if he “loves” me, the TikTok trend can go two ways. Some people post a variety of screenshots of the toxic text messages they received from friends who claimed to have “loved” them in the past. Others post beautiful and cute video collages with their significant other to let the world know how in love they really are.
Wake up in the morning and think about so many things
The “wake up in the morning thinking about so many things” trend at TikTok has to be one of the best right now. This trend allows users to share their most important memories and moments without shame. An example of this comes from a user named @graceandgracetiktok who posted a convulsive relapse of herself trying to film a post on her 13th birthday.
The “Silhouette Challenge” has already lost its popularity, but just a few months ago everyone jumped on the wave of body acceptance to show their curves in the so-called “Silhouette Challenge”.
The trend song begins with “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” by Paul Anka before moving on to “Freak” by Doja Cat. TikTok users were no longer so dizzy about this trend after learning that the color filter could be removed and naked body parts could be exposed.
Buss it challenge
TikTok users were hyped about the “Buss-It-Challenge” for a cool minute, but this is another viral trend that is gradually losing ground. Erica Banks released a song called “Buss It” and it became the backdrop for thousands of videos.
This trend starts with people in their natural state (no makeup, messy hair, etc.). It ends with them falling deep and showing a very pimped up appearance that is very different from what they might originally have looked like.
Front row challenge
The “front row challenge” is for all of the fashionistas and clothing obsessed people out there. Stuck in quarantine means that many people are unable to show off their most fashionable outfits to the public. This trend gives people an excuse to try on multiple outfits in one video and explain that if they were in the front row at a fashion show they would be dressed this way.
DIY beauty hacks
DIY beauty hacks have been an ongoing TikTok trend well before this year. In 2021, more people than ever got on the train to promote their own ideas in the world of cosmetics. Users share insights into making body scrubs, proper use of Beauty Blender sponges, tricks for whitening teeth, and more.
The glow challenge
The “glow-up challenge” has been around since the earliest days of TikTok and is used by thousands of people to this day. It’s a pretty easy trend to give it a try! It only takes a quick montage of older pictures and videos of you before taking care of your external appearance. It ends with footage of how you look now, all grown up and looking great.
