Native teen opens TikTok retailer within the Arnot Mall
HORSEHEADS, NY (WETM) – On April 17, Marc Williams, a 15-year-old student at Horseheads High School, opened a new store called Viral Trends NY on Arnot Mall.
The store sells popular items from the TikTok social media app.
From candy and apple juice to stuffed animals and stickers, Williams wanted to bring these items to the local community.
“Everything in this business is in high demand and you really can’t find it anywhere else except on eBay, which is fully tagged,” Williams said. “A lot of our things are in high demand and you really can’t find them in many places.”
This isn’t the first store he’s opened. In December 2020 he opened a store called the “Stocking Stuffer Shop”, where Christmas items were sold.

Williams wants to do more than just sell in-store products.
“I don’t want people to think that there is only inventory to buy,” Williams said. “We have several places where you can create a TikTok. You can write your TikTok username and follow other people. We also have a TikTok game: “What are you doing?” You call up the TikTok app and scan the QR code. ”
For Williams, he has big plans for the future.
“Me and my team are currently working on a social media event with various TikTok stars,” said Williams. “This is probably my next big thing that I want to add to the business and maybe work with. So we’re working with various TikTok influencers to coordinate a social media event with a meet and greet and another type of show as soon as COVID is over, of course. “
