Why Instagram ™ Stories Fonts Are Important

If you ask a graphic designer why fonts matter, they’ll get an ear out there. But here’s what you need to know: Fonts reflect your brand or company. If you use fonts consistently, especially with Instagram ™ Stories, you’ll stick unforgettable and top of mind.

Just like your logo and brand colors, fonts are an easy way to make your content instantly recognizable to your followers. Even using one of your branded colors as a background for your font is a powerful way to make your content more cohesive.

Here are the four updated fonts from Instagram ™ Stories.

New font # 1: Comic Sans

Now let’s dive into the four new Instagram ™ Stories fonts. Comics Sans comes first. Comic Sans is a very common font for memes and provides a fun, upbeat atmosphere for any Instagram ™ story.

For example, when I shared a weeklong Instagram ™ Stories series, I used Comic Sans to tag each day. While it’s a subtle design decision, it has given the series consistency throughout the campaign.
