Why Instagram ™ Stories Fonts Are Important
If you ask a graphic designer why fonts matter, they’ll get an ear out there. But here’s what you need to know: Fonts reflect your brand or company. If you use fonts consistently, especially with Instagram ™ Stories, you’ll stick unforgettable and top of mind.
Just like your logo and brand colors, fonts are an easy way to make your content instantly recognizable to your followers. Even using one of your branded colors as a background for your font is a powerful way to make your content more cohesive.

Now let’s dive into the four new Instagram ™ Stories fonts. Comics Sans comes first. Comic Sans is a very common font for memes and provides a fun, upbeat atmosphere for any Instagram ™ story.
For example, when I shared a weeklong Instagram ™ Stories series, I used Comic Sans to tag each day. While it’s a subtle design decision, it has given the series consistency throughout the campaign.
New font # 2: Chic Serif
Next, let’s talk about a font that adds a touch of sophistication: Chic Serif Font.

New font # 3: Sans Serif
If you’re looking for an easy-to-read font, try the new sans serif font. Available in capital letters only, Sans Serif is arguably the most popular of the new font options.
Although the default setting for the sans serif font is black, you can easily change the block color to reflect your brand. Just make sure the text is still legible with the color you chose.
New font # 4: Classic Serif
Finally, let’s talk about the crisp, classic serif font. In contrast to the sans serif font, the classic serif font can have all capital letters and a colored background.
Alexa filled up, of coursefor example, uses classic serifs in almost all of her Instagram ™ stories.
