How lengthy can a TikTok be? Video size & make TikToks longer
Although TikTok focuses on short-form content, many users are looking for ways to make their videos longer so they can get more into a post rather than split it up in multiple installments.
TikTok has grown to be one of the most popular social media platforms thanks to the plethora of trends, filters, songs, and short funny videos included in the app.
As the user base grows and more people try to create content, many wonder if there is a way to film and upload longer videos.
How long can a TikTok be?
While users were originally only able to record and upload 15-second videos to TikTok, this limit was later extended to one minute as longer videos were needed to be able to incorporate more into a video.
Tick tockTikTok has become a hub for all kinds of viral trends.
Although the 60 second limit has given content creators a lot more freedom, some are calling for the limit to be extended again.
This would come in handy for many users who often need to upload a video in multiple parts to give a tutorial or share a storytime.
Can you do TikToks for more than 60 seconds?
The good news for those who want longer video capacity on TikTok is that the company has actually been releasing three-minute videos since late 2020.

However, users must be invited to the Early Access program to take advantage of the feature. You may be able to spot some of the longer videos on your For Your Page.
When exactly this feature will be available to all users is unclear, but the fact that it is in the works has left many waiting to finally be able to create longer TikTok content.
First TikTok I saw over 60 seconds. They’ve been testing this for a while, but this is the first time I’ve come across one.

How do I create a TikTok with multiple videos?
If you can’t get the most out of the 3 minute video feature, you may need to get creative by packing as much of the content as you can into 1 minute. One way to be efficient with the time limit is to upload multiple clips for the same video and trim them to your liking.
To add several different clips or frames to a video:
- Start TikTok and click the plus sign to start a new video.
- Click the Upload button in the lower right to upload media from your camera roll.
- Tap the circles in the pictures or videos that you want to add to your video to select them.
- Click Next, then click Adjust Clip to edit the length of your videos.
- Tap Next again, then add any effects, lyrics, or music you want to add.
- Upload as usual.
It might not be the perfect fix for the short time limit, but it can help you pack in more content in 60 seconds while waiting for the 3-minute feature to be available on the platform.
