Gia Giudice’s ‘Unhappy Music’ Fashionable Once more After Will Smith TikTok
Will Smith used Gia’s 2011 “Sad Song” to join the viral trend. He was making fun of his St. Patrick’s Day video while using the audio.
Gia Giudice, daughter of The real New Jersey housewives Star Teresa Giudice has earned a new fan of her viral song: Will Smith. The actor used Gia’s “Sad Song” on TikTok to make fun of his own goofy video.
RHONJ fans first heard Gia’s “Sad Song” in season three, when 10-year-old Gia performed the ballad at her sister Milania’s birthday party. Gia wrote the tune to express her sadness and frustration over the broken relationship between her parents Teresa and Joe Giudice and her beloved uncle and aunt Joe and Melissa Gorga. Although Gia wrote “Sad Song” in 2011, it was known only to Real Housewives of New Jersey fans until it went viral that year on TikTok. Creators use the audio to underscore convulsive moments in their own past that also cause them to “wake up in the morning thinking about so many things …”

Now actor Will Smith is using Gia’s song to add his own twist to the TikTok trend. The Men in Black and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star used viral audio as a precursor to a fun video from his own past. He shared a clip from a 2018 video he posted in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day in which the actor wore an all-green ensemble with a kilt. Smith danced and sang in a hotel room to his own unreleased original song called “Freak Accident”. Smith titled TikTok: “I’m a triple threat: I’m an actor, a rapper and whatever that is.”
Although her song inspired thousands of TikTok developers, including Will Smith, Gia is still a little embarrassed that her decade-old song has surfaced again. Comments ByBravo captured Gia’s comment that “this will haunt me my whole life”. RHONJ daughter Ashlee Malleo, daughter of Jacqueline Laurita, replied that it was “better than a hair pull of Gia,” referring to the infamous moment when Ashlee pulled Danielle’s hair. After Cardi B herself mentioned how much she enjoyed hearing Gia’s song on TikTok, Gia replied “this is unreal” before asking the rapper to meet in the Bahamas.
Despite her viral fame and A-list fans, Gia is still doing her best to enjoy the typical life of a 20-year-old. The Rutgers University student spent time with her mother and sisters, hanging out with her boyfriend, and visiting her father whenever possible. Gia’s father, Joe Giudice, lives in his home country of Italy after his prison sentence and deportation. And despite the recent drama with New Jersey housewife Jackie Goldschneider, who used an inappropriate analogy that falsely implied that Gia was using drugs, Gia holds her head up. In her “Sad Song”, Gia complained, “I just wish things would get better.” Since Will Smith became a new fan of hers, things certainly have.
