e.l.f. Cosmetics Merchandise For TikTok Blush on Nostril Hack

Take it from me: TikTok has a serious impact on blushing. A few months ago, I discovered a TikTok hack that applied blush high on the cheekbones instead of the cheeks. It changed my makeup game and gave me a natural-looking blush – the kind I only get after a brisk walk or more than eight hours of sleep.

Hungry for more wisdom and tips, I turned back to the social platform and spent a lot longer than I’d like to admit scrolling through tutorials. That’s when I discovered the make-up trick of applying blush to the bridge of the nose in addition to the cheeks to achieve a sun-kissed look.

I had some concerns. As far as I knew, the nose was kind of a restricted area for blush. “Would that make me look like I forgot to put SPF on my nose?” I wondered.

The only way to really find out if it was capable of a sun-kissed glow (and not a sunburned vibe) was to try it out.

All of the TikTok tutorials I’ve watched included using liquid blush to complete this hack. Since I didn’t have one on hand and wasn’t sure my pink lipstick was the right shade for my cheeks, I grabbed my eleven Cosmetics Putty Blush in Tahiti ($ 6).

I pressed my ring finger on the product in the putty container, moved it a few times in circular motions, and then dabbed the creamy blush on my face. I put two small swabs on each cheek, then one swab on the bridge of my nose.

While this blush can be picked up and applied with a brush, I like to apply it to my face with my fingertips. I find that the warmth between my fingers makes the consistency even creamier and silky.

After applying the blush, I grabbed my makeup sponge to blend it in. At first I was surprised at how pink my nose was, but when I continued to blend it with my sponge (which had leftover concealer from the previous step in my routine) it sheared off and it created a super-beautiful sun-kissed effect. A little bronzer on my cheekbones also helped balance out the rosy look.

I’ve seen other people on TikTok try this trend with powder blush and a fluffy brush instead of cream or liquid and a sponge, and the results have been just as amazing.

As soon as I get my hands on the elf cosmetic Bite-Size Face Duo in Spiced Apple ($ 3), I’ll try this variant too.
