Want a vacation home fragrance but don’t want to break the bank? Shannon Doherty has a DIY recipe that you can make right in your kitchen.
The Connecticut lifestyle content creator shared her family’s festive scented recipe with TikTok the day after Thanksgiving, and she says it will make your house “smell like Christmas”.
A pot full of water, cranberries, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves and rosemary is all you need for the holiday scent. Doherty brings the pot to a simmer to release the sweet and tangy scent.
“Everyone will want to come to your house because it smells so good,” Doherty said on her 13-second video.
While it isn’t mandatory that you mix the food-based scent in a glass pot, Doherty went with it and it created a beautiful display.
“My grandma and mom have been doing this every vacation year since I was a little girl,” Doherty, 37, told Fox News. “People love this recipe and love to make it at home and see how good it smells. It really adds value to your house during the holidays. “
