Chrissy Teigen Says She’s ‘Too Outdated’ To Comprehend TikTok

Chrissy Teigen says she has aged a lot, and not just because of the pandemic

If you are the age or the general opinion that TikTok is above your head, you are not alone. Chrissy Teigen recently took to Twitter after she got back (don’t dare to leave this platform ever again) to share. Not only does she feel like she lacks a basic understanding of TikTok, but she also feels old.

“Aside from the pandemic, I feel like I’ve aged like this over the past year,” wrote the cookbook author. “I just feel like everyone in the world is younger than me now and I can’t keep up. I think it is my misunderstanding about how to tik token. I would have killed that younger. “

The pandemic aside, I feel like I’ve gotten this old over the past year. I just feel like everyone in the world is younger than me now and I can’t keep up. I think it is my misunderstanding about how to tik token. I would have killed that younger. Lol

Everyone keeps saying I can do it and I say I literally can’t. It’s a program I can’t use

I couldn’t agree more. I try to be part of all the social media platforms my teens are on so I can keep up to date with what they are sharing (I keep track of them) but I spent about four hours on TikTok. Not only do I understand or find most of the videos not remotely funny, I also find that the entire experience irritates my senses. I feel old too.

Fortunately for Teigen, a lot of fans seem to agree with her:

I really can’t understand TikToK. Even the visual layout is driving me crazy.

I know right? Too much sensory overload for me.

I made 2 videos and laughed at myself. I’m sucking ass on Tik Token.
Welcome back too. I missed your energy.

Before the pandemic started, I was 43 years old and lived happily. Today I’m 87 years old, confused about typing and token and honestly all I need is a nap

But on the plus side, it turns out that time is just an illusion. This year so far has been both 4 and 40 months long so age doesn’t matter I guess?

I don’t know how to tok tik 😧 either

Until Tiktok came along, I tried to convince myself that I was fitting in well with the younger generation. That belief has faded so much now. 🤣🤣

“Everyone keeps saying I can do it and I say I literally can’t,” Teigen said in another tweet. “It’s a program I can’t use.” A fan sealed the deal by sharing a video of an adult woman making a TikTok, and I’m not lying when I say I saw him with an expression that Regina George herself would have been jealous of.

This video sums it up, Chrissy:

What the hell did I just see with my own eyeballs? This is exactly where nightmares exist.

Teigen is actually at TikTok, but doesn’t see himself as a professional.

Teigen actually came to TikTok in February and confirmed on Instagram that a new account with the handle @ chrissy.teigen actually belonged to her. Fans flocked to follow her page, but she has only posted about a dozen videos since joining. In one, she asks, “Is someone just using this like a normal thing, like just talking? Or is it always like a viral song? I feel like I never look at it like normal talking. “

Shortly after creating the account, Teigen also wrote in her Instagram story: “Hey, yes, this is my TikTok. It’s the drumstick, chrissy.teigen … I don’t care, I don’t want to be verified. If you follow him … um, I feel bad for you. “

She republished one of her first TikTok videos in an Instagram post and wrote in the headline, “Am I doing this right? Very old. So many buttons ?????? ”

I feel this on an emotional level.
