Joseph (88) and Sylvia Dolan (82) have become unlikely TikTok stars.
They were joined by their daughter Jackie Broadbent, who shot the videos of her parents dancing.
Jackie said she was “proud” of her parents and the comments they received from viewers were “fabulous”.
Joseph explained to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid that it was his great-granddaughter who first caught him in TikTok videos.
“We went to see her and she just said, ‘Come on Grandpa, let’s do this,'” he explained.
The couple danced through lockdown to stay busy.
Joseph and Sylvia’s most popular video shows the couple dancing to an Elvis Presley song being viewed 8.4 million times.
The adorable videos of the older couple dancing were a much needed boost for many during the lockdown.
Repeating the views of many, Susanna told the couple, “If we look back at the years that got us through the lockdown, I think you and TikTok will be up there.”
Joseph says he will keep dancing “as long as he can.”
When asked how much longer they would dance, Joseph said to Piers, “As long as I can”.
